This rug was made for Connie Baxter and Greg Moschetti to celebrate the 225 year birthday of their home in Dummerston, VT.  It is a lovely farm with an old cape, large restored barn, small sugar house, and well house.  Beautiful maple and apple trees surround their home with foxes, blue birds, rose-breasted grosbeaks, and turkeys flying and walking close by.  They wanted their rug to highlight fall colors. The view out their front windows looking east to Black Mountain and beyond to the majestic mountains and tree line in New Hampshire. They wanted to also honor the past owners of the farm whose names surround the rug.  It hangs on the wall in the dining room.
The rug is made with wool and 3 kinds of silk.
