"M" is for Jon Matkiesen & McDermet

39”X46”, #6- hand cut and hand-dyed and as-is wool for the hooking, as-is wool for the braid.  Designed, hooked, and braided by Kris McDermet, Dummerston, Vermont, 1979 (needlepoint center and 1984 hooked center).  

This was my first attempt at combining braiding and hooking.  The needlepoint center was too delicate for cat claws and the floor.
